Theme & Happy Halloween

Here at Be In Love Designs, we love Halloween. For one day a year, you get to be whomever - or whatever- you want. Some people decide to have a funny costume. Others decide to stick with the more traditional, frightening picks.

What does this have to do with weddings you might ask? Creating the perfect Halloween night and planning a wedding actually have a lot in common.The most enjoyable and memorable events usually revolve around a theme.

When planning your wedding, just like Halloween, it is important to decide on a theme for your special day. It will not only make the planning of the "little details" much easier, but will also create a lasting impression with your guests.

When my husband and I planned our wedding, I first designed our logo. We used this logo throughout our wedding - everywhere from the table numbers, to bar menus, and even as a cake topper. (As well as the branding for this site!)

So when you are beginning the planning process of your wedding, think about your colors, designs, and other elements of your theme. Be In Love Designs has several options that can be used to create a theme for your wedding. We are also happy to help put those designs on additional items that we currently do not offer, such as napkins and matchbooks.

Peter Merry

In September, Be In Love Designs attended the Wedding Business Merchants Convention in Phoenix. One of the speakers there was a DJ by the name of Peter Merry. We were OVERLY impressed by this man’s presentations (he spoke twice) AND his personality. He is one of the top Wedding DJs in the industry and we could easily see why.

Why were we so impressed? Both of his presentations had a few of the same underlying themes: think outside of the box and be positive.

Now, I know these presentations were for wedding vendors, but I think they apply to all brides and grooms as well. Things are going to happen that you just can’t control. All Bridezillas and Groomzillas will try, but it is almost impossible. That is why we agree with carefully planning all the details to help avoid possible catastrophes. Yet if you focus on all the positive aspects of the wedding, you really won’t look back in regret.

Also, thinking outside the box (and on your feet) helps deal with those pesky situations to possibly turn them into the most memorable moments that weren’t even planned.

But don’t just take our word for it. Please check out Peter’s new book, “The Best Wedding Reception…Ever!” He not only helps you plan a fabulous reception, but gives you a heads up on possible situations you might not thought of. He also gives you timelines that correspond with the stories of real weddings he has been a part of. Best of all, his joyous personality really shows through in his book. This DJ truly knows the meaning of having fun.
