First Dance Instruction

A local (AZ) resource we want to share with readers today is Robert Blair of Ambiant Dance.

When Brian and I were married in April of 2007, one thing we both worried about was our first dance. Now, both of us can cut a rug, but to a slow song we didn't want to just sway back and forth while our guest's yawned in boredom.

So I came across Robert Blair online and after a phone conversation about pricing, we decided to pay him a visit. He is a wonderful dancer and teacher and very fun to work with.

Our song was All You Need Is Love" by the Beatles, which is not a simple song to choreograph. (The beat actually changes in parts of the song.) Yet, after him listening to it overnight, he came back and showed us a dance that went perfectly.

Before the day came, we practiced and practiced - even clearing out our living room to make a large dance floor. We even practiced on outside before entering in for the reception, and every part of it went beautifully.

Please be sure to check out Robert Blair of Ambiant Dance at http://ambiantdance.com/
We were sure glad we did.

Love Quotes

When designing my programs, I wanted to include a nice saying about love. I combined a bunch of quotes from different authors to choose from. While looking through my wedding planning information, I found these quotes and thought I should pass them on to you.

Even if you don't plan on using them, really think what they mean. Then try to carry that feeling with you, not just in planning your wedding, but always.

There is only one happiness in life, to love and be loved. - George Sand

Marriage is not a ritual or an end. It is a long, intricate, intimate dance together and nothing matters more than your own sense of balance and your choice of partner. - Amy Bloom

To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world. - Bill Wilson

Love reminds you that nothing else matters. - Amy Bushell

A Friend's Love says: "If you ever need anything, I'll be there." True Love says: "You'll never need anything; I'll be there." - Jimi Hollemans

One look One smile One touch One embrace One kiss One love Two people Two minds Two souls Two destinies One road One journey One ending Together. - Melissa Higgins

You don't marry someone you can live with, you marry the person who you cannot live without -Unknown

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. - The Bible : 1 Corinthians 13:4

Wedding Dress Trend: Mermaid

One of this year's prettiest trends is the Mermaid Style Wedding Dress. This sexy dress not only hugs the curves of a bride's body from the chest to the knee, but also adds breathtaking elegance with the use of a train and flared out hemline.
These mermaid style dresses can have varying necklines but usually are seen strapless. The hemlines can also vary by placing it anywhere above, at, or below the knee for a different look. Brides also have their choices of fabrics, but most a flattering in silk or lace.
We like them because of their resemblance to the "old world style" of the roaring 20's. When paired with antique style jewelry, these dresses spell glamour. (sorry, Fergie!)
However, this dress isn't made for all body types. Regardless of height, it looks best on slender girls - and maybe daring ones at that. If wearing the satiny style, we suggest no underwear (even g-strings), so no panty lines show through. Hey, at least your new husband will be happy!

Calling All Brides - We Want Stories!

Hello and welcome to some of our new visitors to the site. We hope that you will enjoy this blog and find it's stories, tips and advice useful in your wedding planning.

To make this blog more interesting, we are looking for real life stories from brides. Yes, we can safely say we can offer you advice from an experienced staff, (after all, the company was founded by me, a bride myself only a year and a half ago), but we also realize the support of others going through the same situations is very valuable.

Therefore we are opening up our blog and looking for any tips, advice, or stories you would love to share with us. This may be the romantic story of how you first got engaged, or the funny story of your families meeting for the first time. It could also be about the details of your wedding.

We love to hear all these stories and ideas and want to pass them on to our readers. We also love to see photos if you have them. So if you are interested in sharing some details of your big day - or even all the details after your big day, please contact us at info@beinlovedesigns.com with the subject line of blog post in your email.

We thought to ourselves, what Bride - or Groom - doesn't want to talk about their own wedding?
Well, here's your chance.

:) Happy Storytelling!
