Engagement Story: Martin & Sabrina

How they met...
There's a lady who teaches belly dance at a few of the recreation centers in the cities around Gilbert, and who also hosts belly dance parties at her house about twice a year. Martin had been doing middle eastern drumming for so long, teaching it weekly for the last six years, and running drum circles so often that she asks him to lead the drumming for her parties; He's done that for at least two years now.

At the November 2007 party, Martin became entranced by one of the dancers from the moment she hit the dance floor for her solo. It's been years since a dancer has thrown him off his rhythm, but later that night she did. They really connected at the party, but it took until the end of the night before Martin could work up the courage to even ask for her phone number.

How he proposed...
Their first date was just a couple days later, and they've really connected since then. Besides the obvious shared hobby of middle eastern drum and dance, they have very similar styles about the way we go about life. It's grown so much that on Valentine's Day 2008 he asked. After a brief, stunned silence she excitedly said yes, and they're engaged to be married!

The details so far...
Martin and Sabrina are getting married on All Hallows Eve at Ashley Manor. It will be a Mid-Summer Night's Dream theme wedding and all guests are encouraged to arrive in costume. We will share Martin and Sabrina's stationery choices shortly.

The tealight is included and each sand and shell tealight holder is packaged perfectly as a gift with a rope ribbon and a beach theme hang tag that reads "Thank you for sharing this Day" Sand and Shell Tealight Holder measures 3.25" x 3.5"(0.55lb).

24 - 47 $2.55 each
48 or more $2.50 each

Why I like this favor?

Ahh, summer. What better way to say it's hot thank having a tropical themed wedding. It's looks like your bringing the beach to the wedding when you can't do the opposite. It's fun and whysmical, yet functional for a guest. (Could go in a bathroom or kid's room.) I also like it uses real shells.

Turn the Fourth Into A Turquoise & Red Wedding

As the Fourth of July is upon us, I decided to look around at weddings on this summer holiday. While browsing though many websites, I saw the usual red, white and blue on everything the bride and groom could get their hands on! (Even a hideous wedding dress that was made out of a flag!)

Why not twist tradition and turn the Fourth into a turquoise and red wedding? Turquoise and red, also referred to as Tiffany blue and red, is one of this season's "it" wedding color schemes. At first we weren't to keen on the idea. (Probably because we saw a very poor designed ad that forgot about colors that "vibrate" on top of each other and make it hard to read.) But now, we are warming up to this color combo like the hot July sun.
The trick to making this color scheme work is to not forget about white. White will help balance the two colors, since they fall close to being opposites on the color wheel. Another tip is to use red as only a pop of color when you need it. A great way to achieve this is to use red flowers on a table dressed in turquoise and white, or to tie a Tiffany blue favor box with a simple red ribbon and tag for your guests.
Overall, this color scheme is a perfect choice for the cheery days of summer and even for the holiday. Happy Fourth of July weekend everyone!
