Carla & Brandon's Escort Poster

We just finished Carla and Brandon's wedding escort poster. What's an escort poster? Well, it's a great way to tell your guests what table they are seated at.

What makes the poster so nice is that after the wedding, the lovely couple can hang it in their home. Then they will have a keepsake that lists all their friends and family that attended the wedding.

If you are interested in an escort poster, please contact us today!

Engagement Story: Samantha & Christopher

How they met...
Samantha's mother began working at the same company Chris was in 2007. He became very close with her mother and she would tell him all the time what a wonderful daughter she had. The first time Chris met her, he knew that they would be together. After a couple of happy hours with co-workers and some time together, they decided to go out on our first date.

How he proposed...
After that night, Chris knew that it was perfect. When he decided to propose, he wanted to do something that hadn't been done before. He put together a photo album, composed in order, of all of the things they had done up to that point. Along with photos, he also laid out a story line to go with it. The last photo in the album was one of Chris holding the ring box and a caption saying "....and he asked her a question....." After and akward silence and a look of surprise from her, he asked Samantha to marry him! She of course said yes and they celebrated with some champagne and a lot of phone calls.

The details so far...

Samantha and Christopher are having a black, white and red wedding in November of next year. We have already done their Save the Date Magnets and will post them soon.

Engagement Story: Robyn & Nolan

How they met...
Robyn and Nolan met in high school in May of 1998 through a friends of Nolan's that he has known since elementary school. They hung out as friends with each other and in groups and then started dating the 23rd of August, 1998. They've been together ever since and are "High School Sweethearts".

How he proposed...
In April of 2007, Nolan bought Robyn a kitten for her birthday (and named him Link.) Later, in August of 2008, on their 10 year anniversary, Nolan took my ring and put it on Link's collar. He started telling Robyn about how he felt. The cat was on the counter, so he moved and the ring sparkled and caught Robyn's eye. She started crying and he took the ring off of the cat's collar and asked Robyn if she would marry him. She told him "yes!". He also told me that he had asked her father for her hand and that her parents had given him their blessing.

The details...
They were married on their 11 year anniversary (to the day), August 23, 2009. They had a private ceremony in the morning, with 13 people total (immediate family and an officiant), in Nolan's mom and dad's backyard, followed by a brunch. That evening they had a big reception with everyone - friends and family.
We will be posting Robyn and Nolan's wedding invitation soon.

Sarah & Jon's Flurry Monogram Wedding Invitation

A while back we posted the story of Sarah and Jon's engagement. Now we are happy to share their choice for their wedding invitation.

Sarah and Jon are having a Tiffany Blue Wedding. They chose our Flurry Monogram Design and made a few alterations to fit their budget. They removed the gatefold and ribbon and instead used a flat card. They also trimmed the rhinestones by using one large one instead of three small ones.

This is an excellent example of how many of our designs can be modified to fit your budget.

Engagement Story: Martin & Sabrina

How they met...
There's a lady who teaches belly dance at a few of the recreation centers in the cities around Gilbert, and who also hosts belly dance parties at her house about twice a year. Martin had been doing middle eastern drumming for so long, teaching it weekly for the last six years, and running drum circles so often that she asks him to lead the drumming for her parties; He's done that for at least two years now.

At the November 2007 party, Martin became entranced by one of the dancers from the moment she hit the dance floor for her solo. It's been years since a dancer has thrown him off his rhythm, but later that night she did. They really connected at the party, but it took until the end of the night before Martin could work up the courage to even ask for her phone number.

How he proposed...
Their first date was just a couple days later, and they've really connected since then. Besides the obvious shared hobby of middle eastern drum and dance, they have very similar styles about the way we go about life. It's grown so much that on Valentine's Day 2008 he asked. After a brief, stunned silence she excitedly said yes, and they're engaged to be married!

The details so far...
Martin and Sabrina are getting married on All Hallows Eve at Ashley Manor. It will be a Mid-Summer Night's Dream theme wedding and all guests are encouraged to arrive in costume. We will share Martin and Sabrina's stationery choices shortly.

Engagement Story: Sarah & Jon

How they met...
Jon and Sarah met on March 15th, 2008 at the Southwest Nostalgia Drag Races. They were part of the same circle of friends, but Jon was rarely around due to his job. He is a United States Marine and was stationed in California at the time. That day he was racing his 31 Ford Coupe and Sarah couldn't take her eyes off of him.

She contacted him on Myspace a couple of days later and they exchanged phone numbers. Their relationship grew the more they talked and he started coming home more, even if it was just for the weekend. They had a wonderful summer together just hanging out and falling in love.

How he proposed...
In August, Jon was transferred out to the east coast so they were not able to see each other nearly as before. It was a hard move, but their relationship was now strong enough to survive a longer distance. He took leave in December and came home for Christmas. This was a special time for them because it was the first time their families met and spent the holidays together. Little did Sarah know, she had an even bigger surprise coming!

They spent Christmas Day with their families and afterward went over to a friend's house for a birthday party. As they were leaving, Jon said he had another present for Sarah. She hugged him and remembers his heart was beating so fast! Even when he reached into his pocket and pulled out the ring box (which was wrapped), she had no idea what was inside. He had her untie the ribbon and take off the paper. He then took the box back and opened it up to reveal the beautiful solitaire diamond ring that they had looked at months earlier. He told her that he already had her parent’s permission to ask and now he just wanted to know if she would marry him. Sarah stopped crying long enough to tell him yes!

The details so far...
Sarah and Jon will be getting married on Friday, September 8th, 2009, here in Phoenix, Arizona. Their wedding colors are Tiffany Blue, Black and White. Sarah has chosen our "Furry Monogram" in her wedding colors and as a flat card to keep her costs down. We will post a photo of Sarah and Jon's wedding invitation after her guests have received them.

Rachel & Kevin's Wedding Invitation and Custom Stamp

About a month ago, we blogged about the engagement story of Rachel and Kevin. They are having a berry themed wedding because Kevin's last name is Barry. Well, here is their finished invitation and custom stamp. This design proves that you can create something amazing without spending a lot. Since they had a modest budget, we went with a simple flat card style invitation on ivory stock, printed in one color, and had matching berry-red envelopes. For an added personal touch, they used the custom stamp that matched their wedding ensemble. We are hoping to get photos of their wedding reception and will post them for our readers.

Engagement Story: Carla & Brandon

How they met...
So a guy walks into a bar and says, we are going to get married someday. Ha, Ha. No, that's not how it went, but Brandon and Carla met at a local bar in San Ramon. He walked up to her and started talking and they were together ever since.

How he proposed...
The proposal was way better. They were at the Claremont Hotel and Spa in Berkley, CA, and were both getting a massage. Then they went to this beautiful restaurant called Jordan’s in the hotel and ordered this 7 coarse meal which was awesome. When the dessert came, he had the waiter write will you marry me in chocolate on the plate. He then came around the table, dropped to a knee and pulled out the ring. Carla cried….and said yes!

The details so far...
Carla and Brandon will be getting married on the 7th of November, this year, in sunny San Ramon, California. Their wedding colors are shades of red and gold, accented with deep color woods. We have completed their save the date magnets and will post them soon.

Celebrity Trend: Second Weddings

While many couples are scaling back on their wedding budgets due to a suffering economy, Hollywood is proving once is just not enough and throwing multiple extravagant weddings.

Earlier this month, Brazilian model Gisele Bundchen and New England Patriot's Quarterback Tom Brady wed for the second time at Bundchen’s Costa Rica home. Their first wedding was in February, but this second wedding was even more lavish with three days of pre-wedding celebrations.

Actress Salma Hayek and billionaire husband Francois-Henri Pinault re-tied the knot last week in a star-studded Italy wedding at the Opera house. The two first married in a civil ceremony on Valentine’s Day in Paris.

Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt also decided the best things come in twos and had a formal wedding and reception in Pasadena, California. They originally eloped in Mexico, but decided they wanted to include family and friends for the formal affair. (By the way, loved her dress.)

While we don't think this trend will catch on with the normal public because of cost, I have to admit we love the idea. My husband and I plan to renew or vows in the future, but unlike celebrities, it is a personal choice to actually renew them by ourselves, without guests. We figured it would be a special moment between us, probably in another country or on a beach somewhere. Besides,we threw our lavish party for friends and family the first time!

Lyndsey & Bryan Save the Date Magnets & Monogram

In a previous post, we had shared the story of Lyndsey and Bryan including how they met and became engaged. (see Once Upon a Time for post) Now we would like to share some of their design choices with readers.

Lyndsey and Bryan's wedding will be a traditional black, white and red theme. They chose this standard design Save the Date Magnet with photo to inform guests of their upcoming nuptials. It was 3.5" x 4" and came with magnet carrier cards and their return address printed on the envelopes.
They also went forward with ordering Thank You Cards, because upon receipt of the Save the Date Magnets, they are already beginning to receive well wished. Since we had designed a monogram for the wedding invitations, that is what we used for the Thank You Cards. We left off the words "Thank You" from the card, so they can continue to use these as note cards when needed in the future. They were printed in Black ink on white linen card stock, which was a very economical choice. They also had their return address printed on the envelopes in a matching font to complete the set. We are currently working on their invitations, menus, escort cards, and programs, and will be sure to post them. If you are interested in creating something similar to their designs, please contact us today for a free consultation.

Engagement Story: Rachel & Kevin

How he proposed...
Kevin proposed to Rachel in August, 2008, at his parent’s house in Lincoln City, Oregon, were they were in attendance for a family reunion. It was wonderful and quiet, just the two of them. Their rings belonged to Kevin’s grandparents, who had a long and fruitful life, and were happily married until they both passed.

The details so far...
They are to be married on June 27th, 2009, at a small ceremony in Gleneden Beach, Oregon. They are asking that all of our guests create a prayer flag with wishes, words of wisdom, special messages to us on our special day, etc. These will be displayed during the wedding ceremony, and then they will be hung at their home in Arizona. They loved the idea of prayer flags, with the color of the flag and the symbols printed on it create a prayer or offering that the wind distributes to the world each time it brushes the flag. The prayers then becoming a permanent part of the universe as the images fade from wind and sun. They thought it would be a fun and meaningful way to make our guest feel that they are an integral part of this very important day, and are very excited to see what they all come up with!

Rachel and Kevin will also have a reception in Phoenix for all of their friends and family who can not make the trip to Oregon. They are having a picnic themed reception. Since Kevin’s last name is Barry, they are also using a berry theme throughout with strawberries and raspberries, including on their invitations.

We are excited to show you the results of their reception invitation and will be posting it in the future very soon.

Engagement Story: Tina & Jeff

How they met....
They met in Jackson Hole, WY in January of 2007. They were introduced by a mutual friend during a football viewing party at Jeff's apartment. During 2008 they both decided that living in the cold of Wyoming was too much and moved to Arizona in September.

How he proposed...
During one of the trips to Idaho Falls, they went to a jewelry store called Ingram's Jewelers to look at rings. One Tacori ring caught both of their eyes. Jeff then went into planning mode to pull off the perfect setting to propose. It took a few weeks of secret calls to Ingram's while he was at work and then a stealth trip to Idaho Falls disguised as a work meeting. The hardest feat was being able to meet Tina's parents before actually asking Tina. So on a Saturday in September Jeff made a trip to Pinedale, WY to meet with Tina's parents Gibby and Teri. Jeff asked both of their permission to marry Tina and showed them the ring. With that out of the way and getting back to Jackson without anyone seeing, Jeff everything was almost done. Jeff also had to tell Tina he was going to play golf that day, which was not the case.

Friday September 19th 2008 was the big day. Jeff had planned a dinner at a restaurant called Couliar in Jackson, WY. It was a restaurant at the top of the mountain at the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. It required a gondola ride to the top to get to the restaurant. They dressed up for a nice dinner and went out to Teton Village. They stepped on to the gondola and headed towards to the top of the mountain. Jeff had the ring in his coat pocket and was ready to pop the question to Tina. Halfway up the mountain Jeff got down on one knee and asked Tina to make him the luckiest guy in the world and marry him! Tina said yes and continued up the mountain and had their first dinner together as an engaged couple.

The details so far...
Tina & Jeff are getting married at Johnson Mill in Midway, UT on September 19th, 2009. Their colors are brown, purple, deep red, and orange. We are currently working on their Save the Date Cards. We will post more images soon to show you how their details are coming together.

Engagement Story: Lyndsey & Bryan

How they met....
Lyndsey Davis and Bryan Bonetti met at the University of Arizona in 2002 at the end of Lyndsey's freshman year, his sophomore year. They met through mutual friends and currently live in California.
How he proposed...
He proposed this past Christmas when they came to Scottsdale to spend time with Lyndsey's parents. They decided to drive down to Tucson to go to some of their old hang outs. They went up to Loews Ventana Canyon Hotel to buy him a new golf shirt (this is the place they first hung out together with a group of friends). He then told Lyndsey he wanted to get a picture of them together outside before they went in. He told her to sit down on a bench to get the picture. He then got down on one knee and asked the big question! They drove back to Phoenix that night and celebrated with Lyndsey's whole family.
The details so far...
Lyndsey and Bryan are getting married in Arizona on October 17th, 2009. Their colors are black, red and silver and they have decided to go with a monogram theme invitation.
We are currently working on their Save the Date Magnets. We will post more images soon to show you how their details are coming together.
